Abstract
Hospital department for lung ventilation, structured so that the
functions of distribution of respirable gases, which are delivered to
patients, is managed centrally through distribution networks of these
gases. And also the aspiration of the gases exhaled by the patients
is carried out by suction networks. The aspirators and compressors
that act on the aforementioned networks are located in different
places and separated from the hospital wards.
The patient monitoring and lung
ventilation setting functions are also replicated in the control room
separate from the hospital ward.
The structures and organization
described are intended to reduce the risk of contagion for medical
and nursing staff within the lung ventilation departments.
